John founded the business over 50 years ago and was one of the first to provide private student housing in Cardiff.

He still takes an active role in the company, overseeing everything alongside his son Richard and ensuring the values he built the business on remain at the heart of what we do.

Richard returned to the family business after a career as an architect in London.

Working in the business for over 10 years, he now leads the business day-to-day, combining his design background with a focus on quality, service and long-term relationships with our tenants.

Ollie has been our maintenance manager for over 16 years and looks after all our properties throughout the year.

From quick repairs to larger projects, he makes sure every house is safe, secure and well-maintained, and is always on hand to help tenants when needed.

Ellie has been with us for over three years, managing lettings and tenant support from our Woodville Road office. She’s the first point of contact for new tenants, helping with paperwork and move-ins and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Having once lived in a John Winter house as a student, she knows first-hand what renting with us is like, and brings that to how she supports tenants today.
